WELCOME TO ST. MARY'S
A Message from David Stevenson (Priest in Charge)
Although these remain dark and difficult days for all of us, I’m very pleased to say that currently we are once again able to hold a service in church each Sunday at 10.30am. All those attending will be required to maintain 2m social distancing, wear face coverings and leave contact details (which will be destroyed after 21 days); we will be using technology to avoid the need to use service books. However, to comply with current restrictions, congregations are not allowed to sing and we are not allowed to have fellowship over a drink after the service has finished.
We are also going to continue to stream the services live on our Facebook page,
st marys church eastwood, as we are aware that a number of people still do not feel able to attend the services in person.
Whether you are able to join us in church in person, or whether you watch the service on Facebook, we pray that you will find them helpful and that you will draw comfort and strength from them which will be a real help to you.
As a church we will also continue to do all we can to support and help the local community through these difficult days. Please feel free to contact us with any request.
While I remain convinced that God is at work, even in the midst of this situation, and aware that nothing is impossible for him, we are continuing to pray that he will have mercy upon us and deliver us once and for all from this awful pandemic, so that we are free once again to live our lives without fear. More than anything else I am looking forward to the day when we will all be able sing God’s praise together.
